FAQs

Common Questions

Is Counseling Confidential?

Yes—Counseling is confidential. Anchored Tranquility deeply respects your privacy. What you share in therapy stays in the session, because trust is the foundation of this work. There are few rare exceptions when the law requires reporting—if someone is in danger of harming themselves, others, or if there is abuse of you, a child, elder, or vulnerable adult. Outside of those exceptions, your sessions remain private and confidential, giving you a safe space to speak freely and feel supported.

How Long are Counseling Sessions?

Most counseling sessions last about 50 minutes. This gives us time to check in, explore what’s on your mind, and work toward your goals at a comfortable pace. Occasionally, additional sessions may be scheduled if needed, but the standard ‘therapy hour’ is designed to provide enough space for meaningful progress without feeling rushed.

What Issues Can Counseling Address?

Therapy can support you in navigating many different challenges. Some of the most common areas we work on together include:

  • Anxiety, worry, and stress management

  • Depression and mood concerns

  • Grief, loss, and life transitions

  • Healing from trauma and abuse

  • Relationship and family challenges

  • Self-esteem, confidence, and personal growth

  • Coping with burnout or major life changes

No matter what brings you in, therapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences and discover new ways to heal and grow.
