ATC Counseling Services
Support Through Life’s Challenges
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, healing from painful experiences, or navigating a change you didn’t expect, therapy offers space to pause, understand what you need, and move forward with support.
Anchored Tranquility Counseling provides personalized counseling for teens (ages 13 and older) and adults. Virtual appointments are available in Virginia, Rhode Island, and South Carolina.
Counseling for Teens
Adolescence can bring academic pressure, friendship challenges, family conflict, and questions about identity and belonging.
Counseling gives teens ages 13 and older space to express themselves, build coping skills, and strengthen confidence. Parent or caregiver involvement is discussed as part of care, with attention to the teen’s privacy and applicable requirements.
A Personalized Approach
Your experiences and goals guide our work. Erin Choice, LPC, draws from approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused techniques, and other methods suited to your needs.
Sessions may involve reflection, emotional processing, practical skill-building, or exercises to practice between appointments. We will discuss your progress and adjust our approach together.
Ready to Get Started?
You don’t need to know exactly what to say or which approach you need. We can begin with what brings you here.

Anchoring Support Through Life’s Storms
Anxiety, Stress, & Depression
When worry feels constant, motivation fades, or everyday responsibilities become overwhelming, you deserve support.
Together, we can explore what contributes to your distress and practice strategies for managing anxious thoughts, navigating difficult emotions, and reconnecting with meaningful activities.
Trauma and Support for Survivors of Abuse
Painful experiences can affect your sense of safety, self-worth, and ability to trust—even long after the experience has ended.
Through trauma-informed counseling, we can work toward understanding those effects, developing grounding and coping skills, and rebuilding confidence and choice.
You will not be expected to share every detail before you feel ready.
Supporting survivors of domestic violence and other forms of abuse is an important part of ATC’s work.
Grief, Loss, and Life Transitions
Grief does not follow a predictable timeline. Changes in relationships, family, work, health, or identity can also bring feelings of loss and uncertainty.
Therapy offers room to acknowledge what has changed, process the emotions that arise, and explore how to move forward while honoring what matters to you.
Self-Esteem, Boundaries, and Personal Growth
If you often put yourself last, question your worth, or feel guilty saying “no,” counseling can help you explore those patterns.
Together, we can work on self-trust, clearer communication, healthier boundaries, and decisions that reflect your needs and values.
Support for Survivors of Abuse
"In my early 20's, my relationship turned violent. As a survivor of domestic violence, I understand the invisible scars that linger long after the harm ends- the self-doubt, the shame, the silence. I've walked the road of rebuilding (that led to a major career change), of learning to trust myself again, of offering myself the forgiveness I once didn't think I deserved. My personal experience fuels my passion as a therapist. I am here to help others process their pain, reclaim their voice, and rebuild their sense of self-worth. Healing is possible and you do not have to do it alone". - Erin Choice, LPC
